Felt rather chuffed with my achievements. Managed to organise myself to get the sparkly tapping shoes for the 2 year old in time for her lesson today.
6 am I heard clattering. She had gone to bed the night before with her kit on her pillow, refusing to be detached from it. When I dragged myself from my pit, there she was bouncing away in full leotard, ballet socks and sparkly taps on. She was so excited, "I am going to dancing school." I felt rather proud as I was obviously not being pushy, she wanted desperately to go and today was finally the day.
I persuaded her to put on other clothes and put all her stuff back in her bag as her lesson wasn't for another 4 hours, which bless her she did. Kits was then on her back and she was ready to leave the house. She was on a mission. She wanted EVERYONE to see her kit when I dropped the biggest one off.
To my dismay, one of the proper Mummies, you know the ones who read letters and write all the dates on big calendars on their walls.... revealed that dancing starts NEXT WEEK!
Oh no, explain that to an overexcited 2 1/2 year old.
A scone and soft play later I was forgiven, only to have to explain to the 3 year old that she did not have dancing today either... ho hum, thank goodness for Cat in the Hat!
